U.S. government bans ‘Comfyballs’ underwear



Washington DC – It’s often said government should stay out of the bedroom, but the U.S. government is aiming for an even more personal space.

The Norwegian company that manufactures and sells “Comfyballs” underwear was denied a patent in the United States earlier this year because the federal government deemed the name to be too vulgar for Americans’ sensitive little ears.

And, uh, apparently for that other sensitive area too.

The Comfyballs brand of underwear is already available in Scandinavia, along with Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, according to media reports. Those parts of the world enjoy government patent offices that worry more about granting patents instead of whatever strange moral code rules the roost at the U.S. Federal Patent Office. More
