Mother 'bit off sex attacker's tongue' to secure DNA evidence


UK - A woman who was subjected to a violent sexual assault has described how she bit off a portion of her attacker's tongue in order to obtain DNA evidence to use against the man.

Speaking to ITV's This Morning, 29-year-old Adele Barber waived her right to anonymity as the victim of a sexual assault to encourage others who suffer a similar situation to try to secure evidence.

Adele, from Dunstable, said: "It was only five o'clock in the afternoon. I was just coming back from a Doctor's appointment. 

I mean you don't assume anything is going to happen that early. It was getting dark, it was January but yes a guy coming out of an alley way just brushed past me. More

Swingers club in N. Texas home shut down by city



ARLINGTON – An alleged swingers' club in an upscale Arlington neighborhood has been ordered to cease operation because it violates zoning.

On a swingers' website, Eutopia is promoted as an exciting, upscale "lifestyle" venue.

Neighbors say it's not a venue, it's a home. And they've been trying for weeks to get the city of Arlington to crash the party.

"This is a sexually-oriented swingers' club in my neighborhood," said neighbor Jon Vecchio. "We don't want it here."

Vecchio lives a few blocks from the half-million-dollar home at the corner of Cooper Street and Beady Road. The yard has been paved to accommodate 70 cars. It's owned by an Azle man.   More

Woman survives stoning execution in Syria and manages to flee when ISIS gunman is stopped from shooting her ‘because it was God’s will that she lived’


A Syrian woman survived an execution by stoning in Syria and managed to flee because it was 'God's will that she lived'.

The woman was being stoned by the Islamic State group for alleged adultery and left for dead.

But the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said today that she has 'miraculously' walked away from the brutal punishment alive.

The organisation said the jihadist group sentenced the woman to be 'stoned for adultery' in the town of Raqqa - an ISIS stronghold in northern Syria.

Militants carried out the punishment and 'stoned her until they thought she had died,' said the Britain-based monitor. More

New Mexico - A three-year-old New Mexico boy shot both of his parents after reaching into his mother’s purse for her iPod, authorities said Saturday.

Albuquerque police say the toddler fired one shot hitting his father in the right buttock. The bullet went out of his hip and hit the woman, who is eight-months pregnant, in the arm.

The shooting occurred in a room of America’s Best Value Inn, police said. The man and the woman confirmed the story. More

Trucker pulling his own tooth caused accident on Interstate 20



Tuscaloosa - Distracted driving was responsible for the miles-long traffic jam on I-20/59 East near Tuscaloosa Sunday night and Monday morning, but the driver wasn’t looking at a cell phone – he was trying to pull his own tooth, according to an ALEA State Trooper report.

The accident, which happened just before 10:30 Sunday night near the interstate’s mile marker 79, was caused when a self-employed tractor trailer driver took his hands off the wheel to pull a loose tooth from his mouth.

“The driver stated he lost control when he was pulling a tooth with his hands,” the report reads. “He had the tooth in his shirt pocket as proof.” More

Video Shows School Police Officer Beating 13-Year-Old Girl With Baton



BALTIMORE —The 11 News I-Team has obtained video of a violent scuffle between a school police officer and three middle school girls, and it brings into question whether the officer's use of force was justified.

The girls had to be taken to a hospital, and their children were sent to alternative schools.

A gash in a forehead and blood on a shirt is not what any parent expects to happen to a child, especially at school.

"She had six stitches. No, I'm sorry -- 10. Four on the inside and six on the outside," said Tashona Neals, the mother of 13-year-old Diamond. The girl's injuries came at the end of October inside Vanguard Middle School in northeast Baltimore.  More   Watch Video

Teenager Accidentally Shot In Penis By Friend


Collier County, Florida - A 15-year-old Collier County boy was accidentally shot by his friend, Friday night. WINK News got his frantic 911 call.

Former Oregon State student facing charges for library porn video



CORVALLIS, Oregon - A 19-year-old former Oregon State University student was arrested on allegations of filming a solo porn film in the school's library.

Oregon State Police said Kendra Jane Sunderland, 19, of Corvallis, was arrested and charged with public indecency in connection with a "solo act" filmed in the school's library.

The video, uploaded to adult website Pornhub, was allegedly filmed on the sixth floor of the school's Valley Library in October of last year, school officials said. More
